Telangiectasia

Telangiectasia before and after treatment

Before laser and Immediately after

Telangiectasias are small red blood vessels, less than 1 mm in diameter. They can be found on the face in conditions such as rosacea. The side of the nose is also a common area where these occur. These are also found on the legs of many individuals, sometimes in conjunction with spider veins. Telangiectasias are usually a benign condition. In some cases, these can be a sign of other diseases, such as liver disease, CREST syndrome, and hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia. In other cases, matting, or the development of diffuse telangiectasia, is a side effect of sclerotherapy. To eliminate the cosmetic concern of telangiectasia, Dr. Andrew uses laser therapy and electrocautery. If you are tired of the appearance of your telangiectasia, please schedule a consultation with Dr. Andrew. CALL (954) 933-5529
